About this route
Open gravel tracks roll out from the Skilpad rest camp across the Kamiesberg escarpment, weaving between granite koppies that, after good winter rains, vanish under sheets of orange Namaqualand daisies each August and September. There are no marked loops — you ride the park's public farm-roads — so pack water and a paper map, as there is no cell signal.
