The headline of the 2026 Spark RC isn't the silhouette — Scott kept the hidden-shock, almost-hardtail look it pioneered in 2022 — but what sits underneath it. The frame carries a revised suspension linkage: the shock now mounts horizontally, with the driving link rotating around the bottom bracket. Scott says that arrangement lets it cut reinforcement elsewhere and drop the centre of mass compared with the outgoing bike. A medium frame is claimed at 1,427 g (without shock, painted, with covers), and the range-topping World Cup EVO was weighed at 10.5 kg in size large on BikeRadar's first-ride test.

Flight Attendant for the whole range
The most consequential change for 2026 is electronic. RockShox's Flight Attendant — which reads terrain and rider input and automatically opens or firms the suspension — is now compatible with every frame in the Spark RC line, where it was previously reserved for select models. Builds without the electronics keep Scott's proprietary TwinLoc lever, which still controls both ends of the bike from the bar. The familiar integration touches carry over: double-sealed CeramicSpeed pivot bearings, and two magnetic access doors (one near the rear wheel, one above the bottom bracket) that let you reach the shock without stripping the frame.
